“CARLZ AUTO SERVICE” was founded by MR. NG KENG HOCK and MR. JEANN NG WEI CHIANG in August 2013 to supply the demand for a simple yet effective method of windscreen repair and replacement.

All our automotive technicians are fully trained to repair or replace your windscreen, or any glass of your vehicle to the highest standards.

Our service includes all laminated windscreens, clear or tinted can be repaired in cars, coaches and commercial vehicles. All types of windshield breaks can be repaired, for example bulls eye, star breaks,stone chips, half-moon and cracks.

Our team will advise our clients whichever repair or replacement of the windscreen as the best course of action. To repair a windscreen properly takes a high degree of skill and patience, not to mention experience. It’s what we can do for you that count big enough to cope small enough to care.

Most new windscreens are made of laminated glass, which two pieces of glass permanently bonded together by a plastic membrane in between. For example, a stone hits a laminated windscreen, the glass will not shatter into tiny pieces because the damaged area sticks to the plastic membrane, and this makes a repair possible. Repair can only be carried out on laminated screen, such as car windscreen.

To repair is carried it by thoroughly cleaning the damage, creating a vacuum over it in order to draw in an ultraviolet light sensitive resin. The resin is then set by exposing it to an ultraviolet light source. Once set the resin, it has a similar refractive index to glass and the damage will be far less apparent, waterproof and long-lasting, halting further deterioration.

Automotive glass, except for windshield is tempered, meaning when it breaks, it will shatter to hundreds of little pieces. When windows film is applied to this type of glasses, it holds the little pieces together. This lessens the possibility of human injury and interior damage if you are in an accident and makes clean up quite easy.

Window film will help to reduce the heat gain into your driving compartment. This will subsequently help your air-conditioning unit from continuously pumping out cool air at maximum setting. Therefore, once comfort level is reached by your vehicle’s air-conditioning unit, maintaining that comfort level will not be as difficult.

Windows film can reduce fading up to 80%. Most automotive films will reduce the fading process. With most windows films, less than 5% of damaging UV Rays ware transmitted, are varying degrees of heat and visible light are blocked to help slow down the fading process as well.
